Lenterra will be presenting on the International Granulation Workshop in Hamburg, Germany

June 2025

We will deliver an oral presentation “Correlation of granule and tablet properties with real-time in-line DFF sensor measurements in HSWG” at the 11th International Granulation Workshop, Hamburg, Germany on July 2nd, 2025 (https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/media/97581/download?attachment). We will present real-time measurements of acetaminophen granulation in Lenterra Mini Mixer.

Granulation fingerprints measured by our inline rheometer (LIR) were collected for variety of API concentrations and amount of water added. A strong correlation was observed between salient features of the measured signals and particle size distributions for different water contents, allowing for identification of optimal amount of water. The result was confirmed by the tablet dissolution measurements. In addition, a correlation was found between the time when a characteristic feature (a minimum of CVFPM and a maximum of MFPM) appears on the measured evolutions and the tablet dissolution times. The technology also allowed to identify the time interval for the granulation end point. The results of this study indicate that LIR can be used as a tool for formulation development, scale-up, as well as for real-time monitoring and control of high shear wet granulation
