President and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Valery A. Sheverev received his Ph.D. from Saint-Petersburg State University in 1985 and, since 1994, continued his work on the faculty at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. Over his scientific career, that is summarized in numerous publications, technical papers, monographs, patents and reports, he worked in areas of optical spectroscopy, flow mechanics and micro-optical sensing. In 2003, Dr. Sheverev founded Lenterra Inc to commercialize opto-mechanical analytical technologies that he pioneered. Under the guidance of Dr. Sheverev, Lenterra Inc. received multiple SBIR government grants and developed several technologies for military and industrial applications.
Dr. Sheverev most recent innovation is a sensing technology for monitoring rheologically complex flows that is realized at Lenterra in its inline, real-time instrument for industrial process monitoring that aids in process design, scale-up and reproducible manufacture of a variety of products in diverse industries. The technology is highlighted in recent “Handbook of Pharmaceutical Wet Granulation: Theory and Practice in a Quality by Design Paradigm”
